Successful operations session on the Souther Pacific Overland route.

Posted on February 1, 2012 by DominicF

Tuesday evening was the scene of a successful operating session (running the display like a real railroad)…after the quick track cleaning. Quite a few trains were running, with no major problems…all in all a successful operation. Check back next month for the next operating session.

Posted on September 24, 2011 by DominicF

This Saturday saw more progress on the ground-cover between Oleum and the Oakland yard on the HO scale display.  Currently underway in this area is a small cemetery. A discussion between a couple of members started to figure out what type of signalling will be used on the HO scale display. Several members were running…

Posted on September 21, 2011 by DominicF

This Tuesday was fairly busy at the Depot.  The scenery committee was working on touching up some of the scenery, painting over scratches in the plaster in preparation for more ground-cover. A couple of members spent the evening working on their locomotives, one with an electrical problem (ugh, the problems with converting to DCC), and…

Derailments and such…

Posted on September 14, 2011 by DominicF

Tuesday was a pretty laid back day down at the depot.  Early in the day some work was done on the G&O display, but the HO display had several members running trains in the evening. Overall it went pretty well, although a couple members had issues with cars derailing.  My problems were caused mostly from…

Posted on September 11, 2011 by DominicF

Saturday was a fairly lazy day down at the depot with only a couple of members present.  The HO scale display saw trees planted in the Oleum area, and the trial run of a members mixed freight train.  The G&O had a couple of members running their trains, with video of them to be uploaded…
