We are sad to announce that in August, we lost one of our long-time members Ed Van Pelt to cancer. The SLHRS is celebrating his passion for trains with a Train Tribute for him on November 8, 2015. Elections were held at the June Business Meeting for the Society on June 5th. This Tuesday saw many members running their trains around the SP Overland Route. Of special interest was a visit by a family member of one of our previous members. Recently much of the work has been focused on the HO scale display inside the depot. The major areas of work have been the roundhouse and turntable in the Roseville yard, and upstairs on the revamp of the the Sparks yard.
