2015 Summer Open House & Train Show August 8 & 9

No, you didn\’t miss our Summer Open House & Train Show!  We\’ve had our summer time open house in June for the past few years, but with the addition of a Spring Open House this year in April, we moved the summer time open house & train show to August 8th & 9th!

We\’ll be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both Saturday & Sunday!  Our HO Scale indoor layout, with it\’s 4,000+ feet of scale track, will be bustling with activity.  Our outdoor G&O Gauge Garden Railway looks much different from the last time you saw it as we\’ve been replacing some of the flora with a more drought-friendly desert scene of Radiator Springs from Disney/Pixar\’s Cars!  It should be ready to share in the fun with all of our visitors!

As usual, we\’ll have our bake sale, raffle, and little engineer train pictures fundraisers!  This show we also have black baseball caps with the San Leandro Historical Railway Society logo on them for sale for $12!  Don\’t carry cash?  No problem!  We can now accept credit cards via PayPal Here!  Just ask at whichever station you are and someone can be made available to take your payment!  Remember – all donations to the Society are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization!

We have an exciting new prop for our little engineer photos for this show – Thomas the Train Engine and his friend Annie!  This fabric PlayHut will stand up to excited young train lovers much better than our old cardboard one!  This will be our first time using it at an Open House, so come on down and be one of the first little engineers to celebrate with Thomas!  Little Engineer photos are $5 for a 4\” x 6\” color photo print in a protective photo folder – a great souvenir!
