Work in the San Leandro area of the HO display and work on the bridges for the G&O.

Work has been continuing at a feverish pace in the area of the HO display representing San Leandro.  The building representing the Del Monte fruit packing plant have been installed with only detailing and lighting left to complete.  A backdrop has been installed to tie the entire scene together, and painting is continuing on the rest of the backdrop in that area.  Come down and visit to see...

Derailments and such…

Tuesday was a pretty laid back day down at the depot.  Early in the day some work was done on the G&O display, but the HO display had several members running trains in the evening. Overall it went pretty well, although a couple members had issues with cars derailing.  My problems were caused mostly from running a very long train (37 cars in length).  Another derailment was caused by a...

The Ops Session That Didn’t Happen

An ops session was scheduled for tonight but unfortunately it was not to be.  After figuring out all of the problems with the various locomotives it was too late to actually run.  Instead the members just ran their trains as they preferred. We will give it another try next month.
