Ed Van Pelt Train Tribute We are sad to announce that in August, we lost one of our long-time members Ed Van Pelt to cancer.  The SLHRS is celebrating his passion for trains with a Train Tribute for him on November 8, 2015.  G and O gauge trains will be run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Ed’s honor, with a BBQ lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs starting around 1:00 PM.  Donations to cover food costs are welcome. Productive couple of weeks for the Southern Pacific Overland Route.

Recently much of the work has been focused on the HO scale display inside the depot.  The major areas of work have been the roundhouse and turntable in the Roseville yard, and upstairs on the revamp of the the Sparks yard.
